Cast in a high quality metal alloy, these models may be assembled using two part epoxy, superglue or a combination of the two. Each kit comes complete with detailed instructions and photographs showing stage by stage assembly, also full exploded diagrams. The aim has been to produce a museum type static model incorporating every possible detail and also a model which has a real investment value.

The size of the Traction Engine is approximately 6 1/2" long by 4 1/4" high and the weight around 1 1/4 lbs. The Foden type "C" Wagon is 8 3/4" long and weighs 1 3/4 Ibs, while the Foden "K" is of course proportionally larger. The kits come complete with lettering and lining transfers and also where appropriate "rubber" tyres and etched brass components. All that is required to complete the models are paint and adhesives.

The kits are packed in a stout box, with a colour picture on the lid of the completed model. Construction falls into five basic sequences, Tender, Boiler, Wheels, Motion and final assembly. Each part is categorised and annotated in its relevant section by number, i.e. T1, T2, etc. It may prove helpful if each part is checked against the drawing and the parts sorted into their respective groups. It is very important that the correct sequence is followed during assembly, otherwise it may not be possible to complete the model. Therefore careful study of the instructions is recommended before building commences.
